OL11 3AG 14 The Director for Economy and Environment introduced planning application 141/00457 for the erection of 23 dwellings with associated landscaping and car parking at Mayfield Sports Centre, Keswick Street, Rochdale, OL11 3AG.

The Sub-Committee considered the views of ward Councillor Hornby who addressed the Sub-Committee in relation to the application.

DECIDED – That the Licensing and Regulatory Committee be advised this SubCommittee recorded an even split for and against the recommendations contained within the submitted report.

The Planning Officer advised that Members had attended a visit to the site earlier in the day. The Planning Officer informed the Sub-committee that United Utilities had

17 DELL SIDE WAY, ROCHDALE 21 The Director for Economy and Environment introduced an application for the proposed felling of 18 trees within group A1 of Tree Preservation Order TPO234, to the rear Of 4 Broadlea Grove And 17 Dell Side Way, Rochdale.

The application sought removal of the trees on the grounds of a risk to the safety of nearby homes and gardens. The trees were poorly developed and there has been no management of the trees. Some had already blown over in high winds and some others have shed large branches.

DECIDED – That the felling of 18 trees within group A1 of Tree Preservation Order TPO234, to the rear Of 4 Broadlea Grove And 17 Dell Side Way, Rochdale; be approved.
